The story of demon kaiju continues. More time jumps between before (during?) and after the fall.
Kavita pretty much lays out the history of the kaiju and shows that she understands Greyson better than he knew was possible. She was once in his position and Greyson's brother Liam was the previous stand in for Wren. Shepherd/Scourge, they are meant to stand in between the regular folks and denizens of Hell.
I think we also get an indication that the 'now' of the story is after the fall because we see that someone is tracking the 'future' Greyson and Wren.

Dude, Ellie feels to me more and more every issue like the female version of John Constantine and I am waaaaayyyy diggin it.
Four issues in and we finally see one of the bound demons defeated. One down seventy-one to go.
Businessman dude has at least eight demons and is responsible for the release of yet another whom he may have some sway with.
Our first scene of demon on demon violence and how it is accomplished at the behest of human masters.

I really like the way they are mixing the two universes.
Mega Evil Rita has pulled together quite a band of bad guys from both universes.
Quiet scene between Zardon and Master Splinter and the nature of putting children on the front line of a war.
Big fight scene with Rangerized Turtles.
Surprise entrance of Shredder taking the side of the angels but I'm sure we'll find out for reasons of his own.
Lotsa comicy fun. Go get it.

So we see that by the end of the book, a time that is probably the current 'now' for our story Maceo and Ezmerelda are not the friends they were at the beginning of this issue.
Lots of story/art masturbation at the beginning of the issue between the double pages spreads, which I detest in a digital comic and the flowery descriptions that Aaron uses to get us in the mood I guess. Just a waste of story space in my mind.
I really want to know what happened to the world. It's been a little while but there are still plenty of remnants of the previous era around.
We see the leader of the Wasteland Rangers and find that she is being carried around in a palanquin and her name is Chieftess Maw. Which puts me in mind of another recent BOOM! Book that Chris and I were rather disturbed by.
The future (current?) Maceo has done quite the number on his personage as far as adapting it to the f...ed up world.
