This is the series that introduced me to Moon Knight. From Wikipedia: Now, the reason I bring this up is that it has yet to be digitized . . . until now. I just learned today that as of March 8, all six issues are available on ComiXology (Amazon still calls it ComiXology, so I'm still calling it ComiXology). This has got me super pumped. What's odd though, is that it isn't yet on Marvel Unlimited, nor can I find it in the Marvel Digital store for sale. Regardless, I may have to pick these up tomorrow. And from what I understand, Issue 2 is the first appearance of Arthur Harrow, the character played by Ethan Hawke in the upcoming Disney Plus show. I can't verify that because I really don't remember anything from the six issue series. Anyway, with my ComiXology Unlimited discount, I can pick up all six issues for just $10.14, or $1.69 and issue. Not a bad deal.

I honestly can’t remember if I have read this whole series or not (Moon Knight’s had so many different series). But I think Chris Warner does good art so it should be good. Were they on Alien Legion together?

This volume was only 6 issues and I see where you are moving through them on your way to 500.
When will we get your thoughts on the series?

this is very random but i remember reading a moon knight story from years ago, it might have been in an issue of west coast avengers. i think that would be sometime around this series. there was a part in it where the bad guy teleported moon knight to some other universe but it turned out to be a world with thousands of moons and it made moon knight super powerful. also i think there was a part where the bad guy was able to psychically knock out all the other avengers, but when he tried to do it with moon knight it didn’t work because it just knocked out one of his multiple personalities.
i am sure this is a greatly distorted memory but i have been trying to remember what issue that was for years. would love to reread it.

None of that rings a bell, but, West Coast Avengers is in the reading queue, and I'm getting near the point where Moon Knight joins, so we'll see.

Okay, so I finished this 6 issue run so here are my thoughts. First off, while I don't know for sure, I don't this this was meant to be a mini series, only because there's not a single storyline that follows through all six issues. Instead, each issue is a done in one adventure. Secondly, I'm not that well versed on Moon Knight, I'm trying to fix that thanks to a few Marvel Epic Collections, but at the moment, my reading history with the character has always been a bit spotty. That being said, this 6 issue run begins with giving Moon Knight a super power, which is, he gains super strength by the light of the moon. This power, based on how it's introduced, was not something he had before. That is, at least, my assumption, but I'm fairly certain I am correct. This run takes the whole multiple personality thing and chucks it out the window. He is Marc Spector, he's Moon Knight, and that's it. When the run begins, Marc Spector has given up being Moon Knight and he's living a life of luxury. Of course, that doesn't last and he becomes Moon Knight once again, but this time there are three priests of Khonshu involved and throughout the run they visit him in his mind and show him visions that direct him to a bit of evil that he needs to take care of, and he finds himself traveling around the world on his various adventures. I really quite enjoyed this run, despite the fact that it really is a bit basic. But, the one thing I felt, as I was reading this, was a memory of reading these books the first time and feeling that I was entering an age of comics that were becoming more mature. I mean, this was 1985, and while Green Arrow: The Long Bow Hunters wouldn't be published until 1987, this had the same feel. This was an era that gave us books like Watchmen (which I didn't read at the time), Dark Night Returns, Batman Year One, Daredevil Born Again, and Green Arrow: The Long Bow Hunters. Books that were more mature than the other super hero stuff I was reading, and I was quite surprised as I was looking into this Moon Knight run that Fist of Khonshu came first. Now, I will say that it isn't quite as mature as those others mentioned above, but it does get quite violent at times. In the end, I really enjoyed it, and though I knew, just KNEW that Marvel wouldn't let this one continue to sit undigitized, what with the show coming at the end of the month, I'm glad that they finally did it.

I have never been a true Moon Knight fan but I have kept up with him since I read his appearance in Avengers v1 211, a membership drive issue. I also read his appearances in West Coast Avengers. This seems to be a solid chronology. Maybe he should be one of my next 'project' reads. I remember seeing these as they were coming out and read the first couple not sure why I stopped. That first cover is awesome.

The first and the last cover are amazing.
I have always wanted to be a Moon Knight fan just simply because I love the look. But, as I said, I haven't read much, which is something I'm trying to slowly fix.

You should do a podcast for him help motivate to read them.
There is a Moon Knight podcast out there already.
