Daniel Warren Johnson is one of the most in-demand comic creators in the business right now. Besides his upcoming Jurassic League miniseries from DC Comics, fans can also look forward to Do a Powerbomb, his just-announced 7-issue miniseries launching this June from Image Comics. Mike Spicer and Rus Wooten will also be involved as colorist and letterer respectively.
Here’s how the publisher described the miniseries:
In an exclusive on the series announcement at IGN, Johnson revealed the inspiration behind his new creator-owned series:
The first issue of the miniseries, described as The Wrestler meets Dragonball Z, will feature a cover drawn by Johnson as well as variant drawn by James Harren.

Do a Powerbomb follows Lona Steelrose who wants to be a pro wrestler, but lives in the shadow of her mother’s success before her. But everything changes when a wrestling-obsessed necromancer asks Lona to join the grandest—and the most dangerous—pro wrestling tournament of all time!
