SO the majority of my spare time is filled with comics. I read them, collecting them research them, podcast about them, listen to folks talk about them. That's all very sedentary and the word is movement is beneficial so while most of my out time is composed of walking to and from my car I have been know to huck some plastic. I'll play a handful of tournaments throughout the year and attended most of my local club's spring and summer league sessions. The first tournament I'm in is March 26. It's a two round 18 hole tournament at the disc golf course nearest me. Has anyone else ever tried disc golf?

However, we have a course in town and I see folks down there all the time. We are a super small town and most of these disc golfers come from out of town.

This evening my local club starts their Spring doubles league and then Thursday evening starts the Spring singles league. Points are earned and put toward rankings for our Fall club match play championships.

Both for the short pads and then I feel things out when they move to the long pads. We play at two different course and alternate shorts and longs.
Week 1 Princeton City Park Shorts Doubles Mon and Singles Thur. Week 2 Glenwood Park Shorts Doubles Mon and Singles Thur. Week 3 Princeton City Park Longs Doubles Mon and Singles Thur. Week 4 Glenwood Park Longs Doubles Mon and Single Thur.
To stay fair because of points we random draw from folks who are there for the doubles teams.
After a 3-4 week break we do the same for a Fall league, everything ending around the middle of October.

Ugh! Played my first League round of the season and it was rough. Only the 3rd time in the past 3 months I have played.
I did birdie my nemesis hole on that course but the rest of the round was very forgettable.
Still have a singles round this week and then my first tournament of the year this Saturday. Sunday will be 308 hours of sleep and rest.

The overall winners in Advanced and Rec divisions win money. Based on how many folks have played throughout both seasons of doubles and singles. It's 5/6 bucks play in each time.
So it would be a portion of 5/6 bucks a persons times twice a week times 24 weeks.
Everyone who is in the match play championship tourney gets money for each round they play in.

Our first week of Spring league is in the books.
We finished 7/11 in doubles, partnering with Daniel Yinger at Princeton City Park playing white (Short) tees.
I finshed 17/21 overall and 10/12 playing singles in the Rec division at Princeton City Park playing white (Short) tees.
Next week. Mon and Thur we shoud do the same at Glenwood Park. Doubles are random draw so no idea who my partner will be.

Started at pretty gung ho about playing this past Saturday but...temps, visibility issues due to snow squalls and wind gusting from 10 to over 25 miles and hour beat me.
I finised the first round 19 over par and called it.
Went home and forgot about how much that entire thing sucked.
Next up league doubles at Glenwood Park shorts later today.

This past weeks league rounds, both doubles and singles were a bust for me.
There's always next week.

I managed my leagues rounds at Princeton City Park long tees doubles, me and Joe Yaya finished last out of 12 teams which just took more out of me than I wanted and I skipped singles on Thursday.
This week is Glenwood Park long tees which are simply out of reasonable reach for me so I'm sitting out the week.
