Overall I was grabbed by the story. Interesting character dynamics and slightly different setting.
The opening two pages treat the reader like a staff new hire for Avulsion Industries First Resort a gigantic orbiting structure where the wealthiest of folks have emigrated. We are quickly shown the power players... CTO Manda Slotnik, CSO Vesper Norton, COO Charles Yao, CFO Alberto Fairmilk, Operative Coordinator Marin and finally our POV Station Security Liason Elise.
I'm not entirely sure where we find Elise when we first see her, I think I know but I'm not sure. She also shows some character quirks that will be important in watching her throughout the story. There also appears to be a facility wide AI that is available for interaction by probably all members of the staff. Elise and St Brigid maintain a running conversation through out the issue. Perhaps of note is that St Brigid was programmed by Manda Slotnik.
Quickly solving the days first problem as a guest/staff liaison Elise quickly moves on to her second appointment. She is to meet with a newly boarded police officer from planet side Detective Sergeant Leona Prithchard, the two tasked with solving a murder in facility. Arriving at the crime scene Elise and Leona find that the spouse of the victim had St Brigid scour the scene clean but through a 3D recording find the scene to have been rather gruesome.
Finally able to relax at the end of the day we again find that her character quirk of earlier play a part in the story again. Later roused by St Brigid, Elise finds she has yet another murder to solve for which St Brigid shows her, Elise, to be the prime suspect.
Behold Behemoth 1 opens at a funeral. Greyson is burying his brother Liam, who was a law enforcement officer of some sort. Liam's work partner Kavita Desai is in attendance as well. The middle handful of pages during the funeral scene shows Greyson remembering/hallucinating/tripping an odd series involving his brother Liam when they were both younger. The remainder of the first issue shows Liam trying to live his normal life while being dogged by those same hallucinations which also seem to involve lost time. The final scene is of Liam and a young ward wandering in a post-apocalyptic world, real or imaginary is unknown.

Behold Behemoth 2 The first eighty percent of this issue occurs in the post-apocalyptic world the previous issues ended in. We see Grey and his ward Wren traveling somewhere when Wren is distracted by a Pika. Enamored by it Wren chases after it and watches a s a hawk swoops down and grabs the Pika for a meal. This is when we see that here is something more to Wren than what we see on the surface. Grey also shows signs, perhaps the initial symptoms of which were his lost time episodes when the world was more normal, of being able to sense some kinda weird creatures that have appeared.
We see that the sky in this new world is cracked. That would be bad for sure. Grey makes a stop at Port Oregon to buy some drugs but falls victim to his psychic warning system when a thing called a Behemoth appears and attacks the city right where Grey and Wren are. The final scene is back to the current 'normal' time period. Grey is attempting to cajole Wren and Kavita drops the word Behemoth for the first time. Lotsa weirdness but still interesting enough for me to keep going.
Dang I too far behind on Magic books right now. I'll try to get up to date by issue 22, sorry about that.
