Wow, this looks really good. Quit pointing out great stuff I don't have time for! (adds to list of stuff I need to read)

I've been listening to the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan over on Audible. I'm about 3 hours away from finishing Book Three: The Dragon RebornI've started this series many times, but always get distracted before I can finish it. I'm not getting distracted this time . . . this is my single favorite fantasy series. But then, I've yet to finish it

I am currently reading (listening to on audible) Tim Powers’ newest “Stolen Skies”. Ghosts, aliens, and government conspiracies, set in current day Los Angeles.
I am also listening to King’s “Dark Tower” book 3. I have listened to a crap ton of King books in the last 6 months and was very excited when I heard yesterday that King announced an upcoming novel “Holly” starring Holly Gibney from the Mr. Mercedes trilogy (my favorite King books) and Outsider.

I adore Stephen King, but I’ve fallen behind and haven’t read many of what he’s written over the last decade or so. I think the last book of his I read was Duma Key.

I listened to Duma Key recently. I thought it was pretty good! Great characters. I really wish I could see all of the paintings from the book.

I have the next 2 or 3 in the series but have yet to read them. They are thick books. I’m currently reading a biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. I am amazed what an awful guy he could be (mistreatment of people, crying when he didn’t get his way, not acknowledging he had a kid). I love my iPad but I’m not sure that makes up for it.

I finished reading Back Issue 107 an Archie Comics centric issue. Not much of an Archie fan myself but the entries on the MLJ characters was cool.

I've often thought of subscribing to Back Issue because I always loved getting magazines and such in the mail, but an 8 issue subscription is $90, and that seems crazy steep.

Each issue is a solid exercise in history. Lotsa good information if you want to learn the abouts of people and stories surrounding the making of the books. Occasionally summaries of runs of comics as well.
If you want more fun nostalgic kinda writing I would recommend Retro Fan which looks at people, places and things from the past.

I always enjoyed Back Issue magazine. It was on my pull list back when I was a regular at the comic shop.

Maybe I'll get an issue or two of Back Issue and see if they are worth the subscription

I have recently started reading/re-reading both Dragons of Autumn Twilight as I have found a recently started read along podcast for the Dragonlance books, Chronicles of Dragonlance and Darwalker on Moonshae. My goal is to move between Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms and read all the books. I have only ever read between 10-15 books between the two. We'll see how that goes.

I read all kinds of Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms back in the day. Looks like another podcast for me to subscribe to and yet never listen because time no longer exists!
